With a clubby groove and a greasy bass line, Reshaped will make you obsessionally tap your feet and bounce your head in a sustained tempo. Despite the hanging detuned piano sample from the intro, it won’t take long for the acoustic piano of Dorian Dumont to emerge from the darkness and come up with weird melodies that Aphex Twin could have come up with.
The song progressively builds up on a steady beat that keeps the train running. Slowly, it shifts from darkness to light when soothing synths make their way to the surface, eventually leading it all to an epic ending: like a deep breath of fresh air after an intense dive in the ocean.
A perfect cliffhanger to give a taste of what will come next!
